Donata Columbro is a journalist and activist in the field of data literacy. As co-founder of Dataninja she is in charge of the Dataninja School, an online training platform to help organizations and citizens understanding and visualizing data stories. From 2009 to 2015 she has worked with different Italian ngos travelling around Subsaharian Africa to implement mobile journalism projects. As a journalist she published stories about innovation leaders and creative startups in Africa for many Italian media outlets such as Internazionale, Wired, IlSole24Ore, Vita Non Profit. From 2015 to 2018 she has worked as a consultant for the international petition platform Change.org and the italian crowdfunding platform Produzioni Dal Basso, training hundreds of activists to help them reach their campaign goals. In 2018 she joined Dataninja as the Head of Dataninja School.
